William B is the story of William B. (for Brian) Goode. William, 1.................... Billy, is a
normal, average schoolboy 2............................. is always in some kind of trouble or 3........................... . Billy is okay at
school – he’s 4 ................................ great but he isn’t terrible either but Billy is 5....................... having problems with
his teachers. It 6 .........................his fault really. What can he do if Dennis, another bigger, older boy, is
always 7........................ his homework? Billy’s life 8 ...........................home isn’t great either. His parents 9.................................
always telling him what to do, what not to do. They never seem happy with him.

So Billy’s life is not exactly 10...................... – except for one thing. Billy is average in 11.......................
except his imagination. Billy has one big escape in his life – he dreams, almost 12.................................. the
time.
In his dreams Billy becomes anything and anyone he 13....................... to be. He can have
perfect parents; he can be 14......................... perfect student. He can be a major rock star sensation; a
superhero; a master spy.

In his dreams Billy 15............................ get anything he wants. Or cannot 16 ..........................? There is a girl in
school, Beth, who Billy likes but Beth doesn’t seem 17...................... notice him at all. Worse still
none of his dream fantasies seem to make any impression on Beth at all. After all they are
18 .........................dreams. Watch William B to see 19................................. Billy can somehow make his real life a little
better as he tries to bring his real life a little bit 20........................ to his dream life.

new , another , about, asking, after, everything, the, than, can, to, same, his, no, that, has, to, the

Dear Me,

Today’s been 1 ..........................typical day. My father the world famous racing driver came back home 2........................... another amazingly successful day at the track. He became 3.......................... first person to win three races on the 4 ..........................day. He won the 250 cc motorcycle followed by the 500 cc in the morning.

In the afternoon, now in 5.............................. car, he won the Formula 1 race by a record 22 laps. My mother is away at the moment. She’s shooting the 6........................... Spielberg movie in Antarctica. People are already saying 7............................. she is sure to win the Oscar again this year. That will make seven Oscars she 8............................... won in the last three years. Where are we going to put them all? She has just phoned me from the South Pole 9......................... thank me for my suggestions 10................................ how she should play her character. She said that Steven was very impressed and is thinking of 11............................ me to direct a film for him when I am older. I probably will. I 12............................. always do it during my school holidays.

Talking of school, everything is as fine as always here. I got 125% for 13.................................. essay on the economic history of post war Germany. Mr Higgins, 14 ....................................history teacher, said it was the best work he had ever read on the subject – far better 15 ................................all the other history books. So, 16 ............................is normal here. I am going to stop now. I’m going 17 .................................cook a seven course international meal for my father. A genius has 18.................................. time for himself it seems.

More later,

William B.

C) Billy’s fantasy parents are, of course, perfect. His mother is a world famous triple Oscar winning actress while his father is a world champion sportsman. What about you? What would your perfect parents be like? If you prefer, you can write about the perfect daughter or the perfect son! Think of qualities they should keep and try to write a small composition abour it.
